I was tasked with creating an innovative concept for fridge magnets, focusing on transforming them into unique and meaningful gifting solutions.

Polaroid Influence: A Clean White Finish

To evoke the nostalgic Polaroid aesthetic, I envisioned the product with a crisp, clean white finish that mirrors the iconic simplicity of Polaroid photos.

Material Selection: Durable and Versatile White Acrylic

After careful research into materials, white acrylic was selected for its durability, smooth finish, and adaptability. Beyond aesthetics, the surface also functions as a mini whiteboard, allowing users to add personal notes or captions to their magnets.

Elevating Packaging: Sophisticated Metal Blue Box

To complement the design, the magnets were presented in a sleek, metal blue box. This packaging choice added an element of sophistication and helped distinguish the product as a high-quality yet a care-made, thoughtful gift.

This careful blend of design appeal and functionality ensured the product resonated with users, contributing to its immediate success in the market.

The success of the product inspired us to expand into a full product segment. To diversify the offering, we developed and launched a range of concept-based photo magnets in various shapes and sizes. The design concepts drew inspiration from the company's best-selling frames, along with insights from user research, which highlighted popular themes customers were seeking. This strategic expansion enabled us to cater to a wider audience while staying aligned with customer preferences, ensuring that each new magnet design resonated with evolving market trends and personal tastes.
